funeral

We understand how emotionally difficult death can be and that it is the small details that make a funeral special and memorable.
Findlay Funeral was started by Jill Findlay after the death of her husband – this is her story.
A very difficult emotional challenge came in my life when my husband was diagnosed with  terminal cancer – he died 15 months later.

My sense of loss was huge. Three days after my husband’s death we celebrated his life. We laughed and cried as we honoured his courage and positive attitude toward life.Knowing it was ‘his time’ did not make it any easier, but we were able to discuss his funeral wishes – his favourite colour, what shirt he wanted to wear, and how he wanted his coffin painted. He loved chocolate fish, so our nieces handed them out at the funeral.Organising his funeral provided me with insights into the small details that make a funeral special. So I formed ‘Findlay Funeral director.’ Knowing it was ‘his time’ did not make it any easier, but we were able to discuss his funeral wishes – his favorites color, what shirt he wanted to wear, and how he wanted his coffin painted. Organising his funeral provided me with insights into the small details that make a funeral special. So I formed ‘Findlay Funeral.’ As an experienced Church Minister, a Funeral Director and a qualified Counsellor, I understand the grieving process and the different ways we may experience the emotions and confusion that follow the death of a loved one.
I am passionate about being a fantastic funeral director. I feel honoured to be a part of the family during this time and am satisfied when everything possible is done to fulfil the wishes of the person who has died and the family.
Life is a journey right to the end. It would be my privilege to guide you through this time to make it as easy and memorable as possible.
